Vamsee Krishna is the seniormost amongst the boys. A trained engineer, Vamsee gave up his job in a software company to pursue films, like Sekhar Kammula. He plays Shankar, a sincere, studious guy with goals in life in the film.
I wanted to act in this movie because: I wanted to get into films, and it was Sekhar's film.
My selection process was: not tough but competitive. I went through four rounds of audition.
The most enjoyable moment during shooting was: when Sekhar Sir complimented me that he can't expect anything more, whatever the character needs you have given it.
The toughest scene to do was: while running behind a bus, I had to be pulled in. Because I sweated a lot, my hand slipped from the hand of the other person who was supposed to pull me in. For two seconds, I was in the air. I have a fear of heights. It was scary, yet exciting.
Working with Sekhar Kammula was: I don't have the words to describe it. I never felt he was a director as he was down-to-earth. He is more of a friend. He has retained his morals/ethics. His passion for movies made him take the risks despite nil financial support.
My experience of this movie was: great. Working with Sekhar helped me to know what acting is.
I am proud of this project because: it means a lot. I was selected out of thousands of applicants. My dream to work in a good project came true.
