Veteran composer Chitragupta's sons Anand and Milind made a name for themselves with the massive success of Mansoor Khan's youthful love story, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak. All the songs of the album became a huge rage and won the young musicians a Filmfare trophy as well.

Though their songs in films like Dil (Khambe jaisi khadi, Mujhe neend na aaye), Beta (Dhak dhak, Koyal si teri boli), Baaghi (Tapori, Chandni raat hai), Coolie No 1 (Husn hai suhana), Rakshak (Shaher ki ladki, Sundara) and Hero No 1 (Sona kitna sona, Main tujhko bhaga laaya) were certified hits, they lacked the loveliness of QSQT's exhilarating score.
