The book was a complete surprise to many as the pictures were all in black and white.
"It was like a healing process for us. We went through so many photographs, letters and portions of diaries. It was a nostalgic experience," said Namrata Dutt, daughter of Sunil Dutt, in an interview.
They also reproduced a picture of two-rupee coupons that Sanjay Dutt gave them when they visited him in Thane prison for Rakshabandhan in 1994.
However, the book steered clear of any controversy.
