Making the underworld come aliveI
The story is written by Agni Sridhar, one of the main dons of the Bangalore underworld in the eighties. Sridhar is also the editor of the popular tabloid Agni and a pro- Kannada activist.
Sridhar had gained a lot of respectability in the literary circles through his writings. His book Daadagiriya Dinagalu recounts his experiences and his dramatic rise in the underworld in the eighties. Aa Dinagalu is based on Sridhar's book.
Chaitanya who makes his debut as a director in this film has directed many popular television serials before. He is also a connoisseur of literature, theatre and other performing arts.
