The SRK of Hindi heroines

The more we saw Madhuri, the more we fell in love with her; I have seen many men ogling at her like hungry wolves. I have seen many men throw coins and whistle whenever she appeared on screen.

In my opinion, no actress has come even close to matching her success.

She was equal to a hero of the film -- something Bollywood still is not too comfortable with -- and her presence made a film hit. Just like a Shah Rukh Khan film today.

She was the Shah Rukh Khan of Hindi heroines.

Her song 'Humko Aaj Kal Hai Intezaar' from Sailab is probably the most sensual song I have seen, after Dhak Dhak.

Sailab was a bad film but the songs picturised on Madhuri will always be remembered.

And then, there was Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai.

If I am not mistaken there were many protests because of the vulgarity of the lyrics, but it was passed by the censor board.

Another reason the song became a hit was because Bollywood gossip was very strong about Madhuri and Sanjay Dutt.
