Taare Zameen Par is the story of an eight-year-old boy Ishaan Awasthi, who loves colours and animals. But not studies.
His parents pack him off to a boarding school. Unfortunately, the child gets very upset at being separated from his parents.
Enter his new art teacher, Ram Shankar Nikumbh (Aamir Khan). Nikumbh realises that Ishaan is not happy at school and sets out to find out why.
