Dev Anand knew this only too well, when he introduced Tina Munim, nearly half his age in Des Pardes.
The two didn't look like a romantic couple from any angle. Yet, the film did well. And, in the success-driven industry, a hit film is all that matters.
Interestingly, Mrs Anil Ambani proved a lucky mascot for another ageing actor, Rajesh Khanna as well, with the super-hit Souten.
