Feroz Khan's uninspired remake of Mani Ratnam's Nayakan saw the suave Vinod Khanna and dazzling Madhuri Dixit play an underworld don and streetwalker respectively.

The actress, now on a comeback trail with Yash Raj's Aaja Nachle, was yet to establish a foothold in the film industry at that time.

The outcome of which was an awkward smooching moment with a co-star half her age.

Sadly for La Dixit, it turned out to be a wasted effort as Dayavan bombed at the box office.
