While Tabu was a big hit with the cameras, Zuleikha Robinson got even bigger attention with her cleavage-friendly dress.
She plays the unhappy wife of Gogol (Kal Penn). Though she has acted in a handful of films including The Merchant of Venice (where Al Pacino played Shylock, and she played his daughter Jessica), The Namesake could be the film that will garner her the best attention yet.
Robinson -- of Indian, English, Burmese and Iranian heritage -- says she could identify with the film’s character, Moushumi Mazumdar. "She has Indian roots, was born in London and came to New York -- all just like me." She was drawn to the character, because Moushumi is unlike any of the characters she has played.
"She is very strong, very confident, and goes after her desires and ambitions," Zuleikha says. "She can be quite manipulative, and in every way, is a complicated person." And Mira Nair knew too well how to show that character without making it one dimensional, she adds.
