Sudeep says he did not feel the need for a heroine as the film is a family entertainer with a message. "The story is what makes the film," he says.
The film was was shot mainly in a 150-year-old house in a village near Somwarpet town, around 240 km away from Bangalore.
"The house is also a major character in the film. It is owned by a patriarch, who lives with his three sons and a daughter, all of whom quarrel with each other all the time. A cook enters this house quite unexpectedly and what happens next forms the major story element.
"I selected this house after scouting more than 100 houses in different parts of the state for four months," says Sudeep.
Scheduled for release on June 7, the film has six fantastic tunes by Bharadwaj.
