There are way too many heist favourites out there, and we all prefer some robberies over some other disguised capers, this is one fanboy list category that gets fanatically personal.

What is a heist film, really? Well, in the case of this list that follows, we're looking at movies centering around one major robbery, a big 'job' as some of the characters from these films might call it. Some of the films here might play fast and loose with the genre itself, but hey, which crooks stick within the rules?

So in preparation for the release of Steven Soderbergh's megastarrer Ocean's 13 this Friday, we celebrate the art of the con. And recommend, in chronological order, 10 heist films you really deserve to watch.
