Your film, Superman, with Jayaram as the hero was also not a full fledged comedy...
Still, the hero in Superman had a comic element to his nature and the film was a success. Compared to that, Satyam Sivam Sundaram was on a different platform though it was not a hit.
You come out with fresh comedy tracks in your films. How tough was it?
For those who have the inclination for a comedy line, it can be made effective if it is not done in a hasty manner. We are never in a hurry while writing or making films and it helps in getting new comedy tracks.
It is when you frantically search to create comedy that it sounds jaded. We have been creating funny sequences from the incidents that all of us come across in our own daily lives. It's only the question of realising such situations and moulding it to suit the narrative.
