How do you feel when you are mentioned as being the product of the Siddique-Lal school?
If we know something about the art of filmmaking, it's from them. Maybe we narrate our stories in a different manner and style, but the pattern in which a serious theme is dealt with in a humorous way is inspired from them.
Have you ever thought of moving away from comedy which you have been associated with?
We tried to move away from the usual pattern in Satyam Sivam Sundaram, but the film was not accepted the way we would have liked it to be.
Of course, there are still people loved the film. I think we would have done more experiments if the film had a better run at the box office.
