Veteran actor KS Aswath makes a prominent return to Kannada cinema after a long gap, to play Darshan's grandfather.
Both Darshan and Aswath hail from Mysore, and Darshan's father, actor Toogudeepa Srinivas, was a close friend of KS Aswath and they acted in several good Kannada films together.
Said Govindoo, the director who has written the story and script, "The film is not only for Darshan fans but also the entire family audience who are the backbone of the Kannada film industry."
Hindi actor Mukesh Rishi makes his Kannada debut with an important role, and model turned actress Shirin from Bangalore returns to Kannada films after a long while. Music director Hari Krishna -- the toast of the film industry after the huge success of his debut film Jothe Jotheyali -- has composed Bhoopathy's music.
