'I'm open to any kind of role'

How has Classmates been adapted to Telugu?

The love story element has been highlighted more. Though the Malayalam hit had the love element there was scope for more. There have been some changes in the love story, for example the hero's character has a new dimension.

Telugu cinema is 75 years old. How do you feel being part of this industry?

I feel very proud. My family has covered 60 out of the 75 years. I hope it continues to do so. I live with a legend -- my grandfather is a father/friend to me. Every day I share my meals with him.

Why are there no multi-starrers in Telugu?

I am open to this idea and so are a few others. The initiative should come from the directors and producers. There will come a time when multi-starrers will make their appearance as the industry will run out of stories. I have thought something along the lines of Good Will Hunting (Matt Damon and Ben Affleck) can be done. Classmates has an ensemble cast with well etched characters. This film will not rest on one person's shoulder.

What about a film with your uncle Nagarjuna?

I would not do one just so that the two of us can be together in the same film. For me, the script is important and if such a script comes along that warrants the two of us, then I would definitely do it.

Are you jittery about the release of Madhumasam?

I am beyond that stage now. I have put in my best effort and I just hope for the best.
