Nedumudi Venu has been an integral part of Malayalam films for sometime now, playing character roles with great effect.

This year's highlight for him could very well be the role as a bedridden old man, in Babu Thiruvalla's Thaniye.

The actor has gone on record saying that the character in Thaniye was so absorbing that once he started doing it, he felt like becoming the character himself.
