Duniya was a stunner. The film was released without any fanfare but it became a trendsetter.

Debutant director Soori did a fantastic job; Sathya Hegde's camera work and Manohar's music were very good too. The film made Vijay a big star. It was Rashmi's first film but she surprised everyone by her elegant performance.
