Cheluvina Chiththaara, a remake of the hugely successful Tamil film Kaadal, raked in nearly Rs 15 crores at the box office.

Teenager Amoolya starred opposite Ganesh. Director S Narayan wrote the lyrics and dialogues too. Music by Mano Murthy was a huge hit.
