Get ready for the year-end battle

As for the young brigade -- Prithviraj and Jayasurya, they have comes together once again to take on the seniors with director Raj Babu's Kangaroo.

Prithviraj and Jayasurya have three hit films -- Swapna koodu, Classmates and Chocolate to their credit as a team. Kavya Madhavan is one of the female leads in Kangaroo.

The title of the film is a take on the hero, Josootty (Prithviraj), who in the midst of many setbacks in his life, is thrust with a year and a half old kid whom he carries in a pouch like a kangaroo.

Kangaroo is been set against the Knanaya Christian community backdrop with most of the main characters belonging to the group. Kavya comes from a rich household and Jayasurya looks after the day-to-day matters there.

"I have used the slang which we usually associate with natives of certain parts of Kottayam. I would say my character has more dimensions which is part of the suspense," says Jayasurya.

Kavya is a computer student. Kaveri, Jagathy Sreekumar, Lalu Alex, Salim Kumar and Harisree Asokan include the rest of the cast.

The script is by J Pallassery, camera by Saloo George and music by Alex Paul as well as debutant music director Saji Ram.
