The Malayalam film industry is all geared up to welcome the year's last big season -- Christmas -- with great enthusiasm.
Among the heroes, Dileep and Prithviraj are posing a challenge for the mighty two -- Mammootty and Mohanlal. Dileep's Romeo has already hit the theatres and Prithviraj's Kangaroo will be out this weekend to take on Mammootty's – in just more than a guest appearance role -- in Kadha Parayumbol.
Meanwhile, Mohanlal is back with director Siby Malayil, in an effort to display the old magic at the box office with Flash.
Mohanlal has teamed up with Siby Malayil in a number of films in the past and they are still remembered with a lot of passion by Malayalis. Films like Kireedom, Chenkol, His Highness Abdulla, Bharatham and Dasaradham have all been regarded as cult movies.
Flash marks the comeback of director Siby Malayil after a brief hiatus. The filmmaker, whose career has not been going great guns hopes that things are going to change after Flash.
Debutant S Bhasurachandran has written the script of the film, which also stars Parvathy (of Note Book fame).
According to Siby, "Flash is set on a family backdrop and solves some mysteries as well. Mohanlal is an IT professional based in Mumbai who has a liking for psychiatry. His character is called Midhun Madhavan and he has been called to solve a problem involving Dhwani (Parvathy), an engineering student who was born and brought up in the city."
Sajan Kalathil, who was the cinematographer for Nivedyam, has cranked the camera for the film. Music is by Gopi Sundar.
Sai Kumar, Siddique, Indrajith, Jagathy Sreekumar and Shamna make up the rest of the cast.
