Padma Lakshmi's unfulfilled dream
I think she is seriously underestimated," Deepa Mehta said, referring to Padma Lakshmi as an actress not too long ago. "I would love to have her in my film, Exclusion, though she is not from Punjab or any northern state in India. I just love those eyes," she added.
The period drama, starring Amitabh Bachchan and John Abraham, could be launched by the end of the year. Padma, who says acting has always been her first love, is keeping her fingers crossed.
