Was it a draining experience to act as Sridhar Vasudevan?
Yes, it was, though we shot only for 27 days. Because I was living that character, it was frustrating after a period of time. But this is the kind of film I want to do and this is the kind of character I want to portray. I am Sridhar Vasudevan himself.
I will never forget Sridhar Vasudevan like I cannot forget Anbe Sivam especially Kamal sir's character. I miss such a character in real life.
One thing I can say about the film after watching the screening at many places; the reaction of the audience was the same after the movie got over. Whether it was in Los Angeles or New York or the Middle East or Chennai -- people did not get up after the movie got over.
Unlike many other films of mine, Evano Oruvan is a part of my life. It goes beyond my profession. I wanted it to be solely my baby. That is why I bought it from Abbas Mastan and K Sera, and became the producer of the film.
