Anything Shah Rukh Khan touches is believed to enhance the saleability of a project. So, if you can't sign the super selective actor to do a full-fledged role, rope him in to do a cameo.
That seems to be the motto of several filmmakers anyway. After all, something is better than nothing.
Adding to the already star-studded appeal of Sajid Khan's soon-to-be-released Heyy Babyy, starring Akshay Kumar, Fardeen Khan, Riteish Deshmukh and Vidya Balan, SRK makes his magnificent presence felt in a cranberry sherwani for the item ditty, Mast Kalander. Apparently, the superstar has a few scenes too.
The Chak De! India coach also plays real-life buddy Juhi Chawla's reel hubby in Ravi Chopra's under production, Bhootnath. Again, it's just a guest role.
The man has done quite a few of those, actually. rediff.com lists some of King Khan's 'special' appearances over the years.
