'Another' Casanova role for Akshay

He's a superstar whose comedies consistently make a mark at the box office.

Yet, Akshay Kumar is excited about playing a womaniser again in Sajid Khan's directorial debut, Heyy Babyy, hitting screens this Friday.

In an interview conducted on the phone from Ladakh, where Kumar is shooting Tashan for Yash Raj Films, he tells Raja Sen why this Babyy film means so much to him.

So it seems Heyy Babyy is yet another Casanova role for you.

'Another' Casanova role for me. Whoa. (Laughs) Yeah, I guess you're right, that's a pretty accurate way to put it. I guess I've done quite a few of those.

What makes this one different?

Well, in this film me, my character, has searched and searched and sampled every girl that he could find, and then has realised that human fulfillment does not come from short physical random adventures, but from a deep relation which is quite often under one's nose.

Heyy Babyy is a film very close to me because it reminds me of my relationship with my son. Parenthood teaches you responsibility and makes you grow up, and that's what my son has done, brought such stability in my life. Heyy Babyy is about this special relationship, about a small baby that comes in my life and changes me. That transformation is what the film is all about.
