Sanjana was my screen name given to me by the Chopras. When Aditya Chopra launched me (she was discovered by Yash Chopra in Aditya Chopra's wedding and that's how she bagged Anjali's role in Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai), there weren't too many English names in the industry. He wasn't sure if he wanted to continue with Tulip since it was very unconventional.
But then people started recognising me as Sanjana. I didn't like it because I don't believe in a second name. I am born Tulip and I like it that way. I was getting offended with fan mails addressing me as Sanjana so I decided to stick to Tulip. I love my name.
