Clinking and clanking those bangles and anklets at a sangeet ceremony earned her an avid admirer in Rohit (Rishi Kapoor).
But when Chandni's dreams come to a rude halt, she doesn't sit and sulk. Instead, she shifts to a new city, bags a new job and tries to make most of her newly acquired independent life.
Of course, she goes back to her diffident, clueless ways when the lover from the past and fiance from the present vie for the same bangle-friendly hand.
Even so, with Chandni, Chopra lyrically showed the transition of a starry-eyed daydreamer to a practical, working woman who likes to keep her options open.
