After winning the Best Supporting actress trophy for Yash Raj's Daag, Raakhee went on to work under the banner to play the self-assured albeit benevolent Dr Sudha Sen.
Set against the backdrop of a coal mine, this compelling drama featured how she helps one of her patients, and a mine worker, Vijay (Amitabh Bachchan) to come to terms with his past.
Expectedly, these sessions lead to a tender bonding between the two.
