Does that mean you will now do only offbeat films or are you open to commercial cinema as well?
I wouldn't do films just to make a point that I can do commercial cinema. I don't believe in tags like 'offbeat' or 'commercial'. They are created by the media. There are good and bad films, and I want to be part of good cinema. By commercial cinema, if you mean singing and dancing, I have never had a problem with that. I have loved Hindi cinema all my life, especially the singing and dancing. In fact, dancing comes naturally to me.
You do not make too many public appearances.
I am a very private person. From being a hopeless introvert, I have emerged, become more open. Years ago, I would find it vain to talk about myself and wouldn't know what to say. Being a star teaches you a lot. Strangely, it has taught me humility more than anything else.
Movies play an important role in my life, but they are not everything in my life. I meet people who are not in the industry or media, and that leaves me with less time to pop in at parties. Besides, I have never been a party person.
