After a box office hattrick (Thirupachi, Sivakasi and Tirupathi), director Perarasu is back with Dharmapuri.

Vijayakanth is returning to the world of films after a while. His last film released after a long struggle, Perarasu (not to be mistaken for the director of this film) was a success at the box office. What is more satisfying for the actor-turned-politician is his rise as a strong political force in Tamil Nadu. So, we can expect a lot of 'fireworks' in the form political statements in Dharmapuri. In fact, Perarasu admitted that he had written the songs with the politician Vijayakanth in mind.
