Story or the content has taken a backseat. But cinematography has advanced too much. More than depth, the films of today have become more glamour-oriented than they were in our times.
Today, the dances in films have become like a PT exercise. Now, in the bedroom on the wedding night, if there were such a scene, there would be some 200 people who would be dancing. So, it is basically PT exercise.
So, you are not happy, right?
I am sure ultimately people will come back to the old path, shown by people like Bimal Roy and Hrishida (Hrishikesh Mukherjee) and would realise that their path was correct. This is a temporary phase.
As I said some of the stars are very good, but they have to be presented in an appropriate fashion and style. I am sure that will happen gradually.
