Trimurti, 1995

Anil Kapoor outdid Shah Rukh Khan in Trimurti.

The big star of the 1980s, Anil Kapoor's career was fading fast as the three Khans -- Aamir, Salman and Shah Rukh -- began ruling the box office.

Shah Rukh was the obvious centre of attraction in Trimurti, the first time Subhash Ghai entrusted the director's megaphone to someone outside his Mukta Arts family. The film was directed by Mukul Anand, who had made Agneepath, with Amitabh Bachchan.

Unfortunately for Anil Kapoor, the movie flopped and the actor's career tanked until Virasat (1997) came along.
