Nagarjuna on Sri Ramadasu

Sri Ramadasu is a mega hit, still running to packed halls 50 days after its release. The historical (made in a mainstream format) appears set to break all records, and Nagarjuna has put in a performance of a lifetime. The celebrated quartet -- K Raghavendra Rao (director), J K Bharavi (writer), Nagarjuna and M M Keeravani - has repeated the magic of Annamayya.

Just as Sri Ramadasu touched the 50-day milestone, Nagarjuna spoke to Radhika Rajamani about its success and the project he is currently working on.

What made Sri Ramadasu a runaway success?

It is an extremely high-quality film. The music by Keeravani is very good. The story and the way the director worked at the concept was interesting. Somewhere, people identified it as something happening around them. All the characters were well etched.
