Her life so far: A jet setting ruthless business woman before marriage, Lynette gives up a very promising career to become a housewife. She is an overworked, overstressed mother of four -- the twins, their slightly younger brother, and a baby; all complete terrors. With her kids being more than she can handle and with Tom being away most of the time, Lynette has turned to her children's 'ADD' medicine to combat ever-increasing stress.

Things go beyond endurance when Tom starts working with his ex, and Lynette's insecurities push her to meddling in her husband's life and career. Tom eventually gets fired and challenges Lynette to take up work while he looks after the kids.

What to watch out for in Season 2: Lynette goes back to work after a gap of few years and a number of (mis)adventures lie waiting for her. Particularly her callous man-hungry boss who is very difficult to impress.

Meanwhile, Tom plays 'Mom' and realises it's not as easy as it seems. He can barely manage the kids and longs to go back to work. Lynette's relationship with her neighbour Mrs McClusky (whose stuff was stolen by Lynette's kids) undergoes some changes and an unspoken camaraderie is established between them when she keeps an eye on her kids when Tom can't quite keep up.

Rumours are rife that there is a very scandalous scene where Gabrielle kisses Tom, which definitely puts a dent in the friendship between Lynette and Gabrielle. Tom wants to work again, and the couple toy around with having a fulltime nanny.
