Meet Superman!

You have this movie now, and a possible sequel in two years -- do you worry about being typecast?

Not really. There are so many genres of film being made right now that we, as actors, are spoilt for choice. And if I don't find something out there I like, I can always make my own film, do what I want to do. I believe and trust my talent as an actor, I believe I can do other characters, so I am not too worried.

Were you always exposed to movies growing up?

Yes. We didn't have a VCR for a long time, we used to rent one at a neighbouring store on weekends. My sister and I have watched some movies many times over, like Dark Crystal, Labyrinth. My favourite film was Braveheart -- it is a fantastic film; the ability to make something so powerful and emotionally moving and yet so epic is what attracted me to that film, so I think I am really blessed to do Superman Returns because, in a way, it is like that too.
