Krrish
Rakesh Roshan's superhero film may be about little more than its leading man, but son Hrithik justified the absurdly dated, cliched plot by rising to the occasion with a near-flawless performance. He huffed, he puffed, he leaped over tall buildings and sang for the pretty (and completely non-performing) girl. That is as masala as superheroes get.
Rajesh Roshan's soundtrack was mostly intolerable, Naseeruddin Shah was wasted as a poorly developed villain, and way too many effects had visible Hollywood influences. It stands as glorious testimony to Hrithik (and his director-dad's showcasing savvy) that the actor carries off this undeniably genre-creating film.
