The Making Of Omkara

July 13, 2006
Konkona was given bright sarees and ethnic accessories to create that rustic home grown feel while Bipasha's nautch girl look was modeled on the bar girls of Meerut, all bright short ghaghra cholis.

For Naseer's shrewd politician, he was dressed in all white with a silk angavastara and branded sunglasses. One of the biggest challenges was finding the right kummerbund-which launches the plot of the film because it had to have the right amount of tradition and the right of amount of sensuality.

End of the day, its been a stirring journey into the heart of an ambitious commercial Hindi film project. a project where story and detailing were at the heart of all decision making, not just monetary considerations. And hats off to producer Kumar Mangat and Big Screen for that.
