Shot in Bangkok, Zinda is about Balajeet Roy (Sanjay Dutt), happily in love with his pregnant wife (Celina Jaitley).

Life takes an abrupt turn when Roy gets locked away in a room for 14 years! Roy has no idea who his captors are, and neither does he know why he has been locked away in isolation for so many years.

One fine day, he is suddenly set free. As he enters a drastically different world, Roy tries to find out what really happened to him.

He bumps into three people -- Rohit Chopra (John Abraham), Jenny (Lara Dutta) and Joy Fernandes (Mahesh Manjrekar). Who are these people? And were they connected with Roy's captivity in any way?
