A film as predictably cast as the original source material is written. One can't think of a less quirky (or safer) set of characters to take on the biggest potboiler of them all.

The phenomenally successful Dan Brown novel was virtually built for Hollywood, and should translate well into an inane treasure hunt with misleading and controversial clues strewn around the world.

Expect a massive uprising and protests from all over the place, both from Catholics and devoted fans of the book.

Also expect a superhit.
