When Shabbir Ahluwalia hurt his sister

August 9, 2006
Indian television has always upheld our traditions in its soaps. So we have daughters-in-law who are very respectful of their in-laws. And festivals celebrated with gusto.

Off screen television actors are as traditional and Raksha Bandhan is a special day.

A few stars reflect on their favourite memories associated with Rakhi:

Vivan Bhatena (Dhruv in Kum Kum)

Being an only child, I don't have a sister. But I have two cousins who stay in New York and Baroda. Both of them send a rakhi to me every year and I religiously tie them on my wrist.

I will never forget is what I used to do in school. To avoid having pretty girls tie a rakhi on my wrist, I would go to all the not-so-pretty girls and force them to tie a rakhi!
