Asin: I'm not a party person
August 8, 2006
If you enjoyed the first part of our exclusive interview with Asin, the Number One leading lady in Tamil Cinema, don't miss the rest of the conversation.
You have worked only with the top heroes. Won't you accept films with second
rung actors?
While accepting a film, my co-star is my last priority. It just happened
that I acted with top heroes early in my career. I have been lucky, but I am
not adamant about acting only with superstars.
The papers speak regularly about the competition you have either with Trisha
or Nayantara. Are these stories true?
Everyday, when I open the newspaper, I see that somebody is Number One or
somebody has usurped somebody's place. That is the least of my concerns. I
don't know about the others. When someone signs a film, I am also supposed
to do that or else I will not be on par with the heroine! I am then supposed
to manoeuvre! No, I can't think of such things at all. It is so trivial and
silly that I find it funny. They call it a rat race. It is not a rat race
for me.
