On the audience
I know that the audience in India and Sri Lanka will accept and understand most of what is said on stage even when we use seven languages. In England it will be a different experience. First of all people there are very familiar with Shakespeare and this particular play. They will know the dialogues.
For them it will be a completely new experience to see it being performed in so many languages.
I think they will like it.
On Shakespeare
Shakespeare speaks in many languages. Shakespeare is not just an English writer. He just happens to write in English. His plays appeal to people across cultures, across languages. If Shakespeare was alive and saw this play I think he would like it. He will recognise the achievement of his play in it being performed by people from so many cultures, in so many languages.
