Union Minister for Culture and Urban Development Jaipal Reddy took the stage and applauded Goa being made the permanent venue, and touched on the same aspects of Indian cinema as Telugu megastar Chiranjeevi did, moments before him.
They harped on how cinema meant more to the average Indian than just entertainment; how it gave them hope and happiness, dreams and escape; and how it was only fair to expect IFFI to eventually grow into a film festival to be proud of, one that matches the best in the world.
Cannes, Berlin, Goa? Why not?
