Waqt (1965)

Slick suits, high-gloss lifestyles and the perks of privilege -- Waqt, produced by B R Chopra and directed by Yash Chopra, presented Sunil Dutt at his most suave.

As one of the three estranged sons of Balraj Sahni in this lost-and-found saga, Dutt is adopted by an affluent foster family.

His effusive, confident character woos Sadhana with elan (spouting shaayri at breakneck speed), races cars with his romantic rival Raaj Kumar (who, unkown to him, is his brother) and wins the climactic court case which exonerates Raaj and brings the family together again.

A flamboyant performance that is not allowed to go over the top.
