The film is being directed by young whiz, Soham (Shah).

He comes from an eclectic apprenticeship, having formerly assisted both Karan Johar as well as Ram Gopal Varma.

Kaal stars Ajay Devgan, John Abraham, Vivek Oberoi, Esha Deol and Lara Dutta in the principal roles.
