Divya Dutta
For an actress, it is very important that the role you choose be satisfying, and that you enjoy it.
In Shobhayatra, I play a schoolteacher who is undergoing a divorce, and pregnant. She wants to meet her elder son, but doesn't have the courage and confidence to call up and say so.
But when she is dressed up as Jhansi Ki Rani, she overcomes that inferiority complex and becomes strong enough to face situations. It's a very interesting story. That's why I took it up.
My forthcoming films: Shyam Benegal's Netaji, Prabhakar Shukla's Kahani Gudiya Ki and Khalid Mohammed's Silsilay.
