Five minutes before my first scene, I was having this congestion in my chest! I had a problem breathing! My BP was going haywire. I was like, oh my god, what am I doing to do! But the amazing thing was as soon as he said 'action,' everything just seemed to ebb away -- the camera, the boys with the thermocol, light men, sound etc. I can perform in front of a thousand people and yet not see them. You are just caught in a moment. I was surprised that I wasn't camera conscious.

My first scene was a dance sequence. Later, we shot an emotional scene with Vivek's mother in the film. This scene comes just after the climax. That scene was tough because it was my first. It was very complicated. I had to say the dialogues, get the diction right, get the emotions right, take three steps to the right, look in the right angle, put my chin up, make sure any pimples aren't showing...!

Sometimes, I would get the emotions right but in the heat of the moment, would get the technicalities wrong. There are so many things to think about! But I got used to it later. My first day of shoot lasted 12 hours!

Emotional scenes are not difficult for me because I am a very emotional person. I am the type who cries buckets at movies. People sometimes find it embarrassing to go with me because of that! Movies really affect me. Dancer In The Dark, starring Bjork, is one of the most amazing movies. I was crying so much! My nose was running. I was in shambles by the end of that movie!
