The Family Man
In this Brett Ratner film, Cheadle plays an offbeat, interesting charmer tempting successful stud Nicolas Cage.
On offer for giving up his beautiful sportscars and millions of dollars, smoothtalks Cheadle to Cage, is the option of finding out what might have been, had Cage not lost the love of his life (Tea Leoni).
Cheadle isn't in the film for long, but his appearance has definite impact. His role is brief and enigmatic, and his character interestingly shaded. It's hard to condemn or condone him, and the actor walks the thin line with quirky panache.
