All Yash Raj releases in the last few years have been hits. Like Bunty Aur Babli, Hum Tum, Dhoom, Salaam Namaste, Veer Zaara, Saathiya…

The Chopras even made stars out of Saif Ali Khan (Hum Tum) and John Abraham (Dhoom). So it was expected that Yash Chopra's younger son Uday would hit the bull's eye with Neal N Nikki.

The film, directed by Arjun Sablok, was also promoted aggressively.

But audiences found it far too bold, and lacking in substance.
