Isha Koppikar got a lot of flak for her last release -- Karan Razdan's Girlfriend -- which saw her play a lesbian.

The actress says she is now over the controversy.

She eagerly awaits her next film, Kundan Shah's Ek Se Badhkar Ek, also starring Suniel Shetty, the now pregnant Raveena Tandon and Shekhar Suman.

The Khallas girl feels the item number in Company was a good start to her career. "It gave me recognition," she says. "Filmmakers always felt they wanted me in those kind of roles. So I got many opportunities to do stage shows and earn lots of money!"

The actress spoke to News Editor (Entertainment) Syed Firdaus Ashraf about Ek Se Badhkar Ek, which releases tomorrow, September 17.
