People loved my sari-look in Main Hoon Na. Personally, I prefer wearing jeans and a T-shirt. When I have a rough day ahead of me, or am playing with (daughter) Renee, I'm happy wearing that.

When I get formal, I like to dress up. I like gowns and business suits. I love satin and silk -- soft fabrics, which almost make you feel that you're not wearing anything!

I started liking saris only after Main Hoon Na; after I learnt how to wear them properly. I didn't know how to wear saris before Main Hoon Na.

Though the film has given me a hit, hits and flops have never excited me. At the end of the day, I only have power over my work. If people say I have performed badly, that bothers me. If I cannot deliver what I am paid to do, then there is a problem.

But if the film flops and people say I have done my job well, then it's fine with me. I move on. I don't hold on to failures or successes.

I have got a lot of Chandni roles after Main Hoon Na. But I haven't said yes to any! Chandni had a lot of presence in the film. She didn't have anything to do with the film in terms of personal conflicts. It was just her overwhelming presence. But all my current films have personal conflicts. So now, along with my 'presence', you'll also have performances!

As an actor, it's important for me to look good and perform well. Looking good is not the end-all in a film. A Main Hoon Na can disillusion me because I haven't even performed in the film! It's just the way I'm looking.
